My family of 12 and I decide to give Blue Hook another try after about 6 months. The service and atmosphere were good. The food does seem to vary with most visits. My two daughter's seafood boils were good, my sons catfish was cooked too hard, and my cajun queso fries (my most favorite) were cooked to the point of not being edible. So, I suppose I will wait a few more months before trying Blue Hook again. Next time we will be sure to take pictures.
Horrible service, never got checked on until it was time to pay. We had a birthday and they never even came to do it
This place is just okay at best. We sampled a very large portion of the menu. The red beans and rice tasted like perfume the catfish wasn't fried crispy and was soggy. They had decent frys. Their chicken tenders were okay at best. Flounder was super greasy and soggy. We all agreed that we wouldn't go back for anything that we ordered and will not be back to try anything else. Our waitress was sweet but waiting tables is probably not her thing. We needed refills about 5minutes after we got our food and didnt recive refills until we got our bill. She didn't bring out all our food that we ordered and charged us for it. They did take care of it but still. This place reminds me of a tourist trap on the southern coast. Not good :(
I heard from my friends that their seafood was very delicious. I chose this place without disappointment. The staff are very friendly. This place is recommended!
Went for the first time and the food was great but the service was better. The server was very attentive and really nice. She had great recommendations and informed us about happy hour. I had the bang bang shrimp, lobster bisque and garlic noodles and everything tasted great and seasoned perfectly. As we were leaving I believe the manager was the one that asked us how everything was and walked us out the door. I definitely recommend and would go back.
