This traditional Mexican ‘sandwich’ is created by spreading a hint of butter atop a soft-centered telera bread, sliced in half and slightly toasted. It is then lled with a light slather of mayonnaise, refried beans, avocado, lettuce, tomato, onion, jalapeños and your choice of carne al pastor (thinly sliced pork marinated in a delicious red sauce infused with pineapple), tender ame-broiled marinated chicken breast, carne asada (seasoned tender ame- broiled skirt steak) or carnitas (tender chunks of pork). Served with french fries. (This dish is not served with tortillas.)
