I’m not sure that I understand all the rave reviews. The Saturday night we went it was almost empty but we were told the kitchen was swamped so there was no tasting menu. The cocktails are “creative” but overpriced and not particularly good. Brussel sprouts were great but nothing else stood out. Mediocre food with a very high price tag.

Honest review of this place- all 5 star reviews must be fake. We celebrated a friend’s birthday and our whole group- six- had horrible food. Not a single thing was done right or tasted good. The drinks were good. And, there were out of 2 dishes, which they informed us after they accepted our orders.

It’s a shame really. Have we equated expensive with good and that’s the appeal? Did the tasting menu and the food was fine. Had a few cocktails, they were fine. Service was top notch. Got the bill, nearly $400 for two people. Icing on the cake was the $9 fee added for paying with a credit card. The dollar amount alone isn’t an absolute turnoff as I have money and I’m willing to spend it, however, none of the five courses proved to be exceptional or even above average. Nothing was bad, however, nothing was special. Be aware that portion sizes are woefully small, which is my biggest complaint. Two hours and $400 later, we both left still hungry. Would I recommend this restaurant? I wouldn’t not recommend it, however, there has to be better than this in St. Louis.

This is a diamond in the rough! Service from Zachery was superb! The 5 course tasting was delicious (I let the chef choose 4 of the 5 courses) and I was delighted with every bite!! The atmosphere was refined great with a wonderful doe of top tier humor!!

À la carte is an amazing option because the portions are above average in comparison to quality. Everything we had paired well with wine and the namesake was phenomenal. This was due to the excellent service. I loved the fact they could speak to the menu to help pair the palette. Great music shuffle, made the atmosphere calm, yet casually energetic for conversation. We will definitely be returning.
