Black Boy Inn, Heage

Not had food at this one yet but will do one day heard great stuff about it, local biker and normal pub for all occasions. Highly recommended.

Lovely little place

A warm welcome in a cosy and smart place. The food's a cut above and the sun terrace is great.

Booked last minute on Easter Saturday, there was space available downstairs. Service is good, staff very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. I had pan cooked chicken in a creamy cheese sauce, was great and very filling. My husband had gammon which he really enjoyed. Will definitely go again, hopefully next time we will be able to try the pudding. Parking: There looks to be a small car park at the front, which was full. However there is a car park at the side. It is on a slope so not really suitable for people with walking disabilities.

Lovely staff

We had superb service and superb food! Best hand cut chips ever, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside! Roast lamb, ploughman's, fish n chips & roast lamb were all devine. Highly recommend. Thanks for a lovely lunch!

Great food and a warm welcome

ARRIVED MIDDAY GREETED WITH A LOVELY WARM WELCOME, HAD A COFFEE BEFORE DEPARTING ON THE WALK, LATE AFTERNOON MEAL WAS VERY WELL COOKED AND MOST WELCOME AFTER A HEARTY 6 MILE WALK;. THE PUB HAD A LOVELY WARM AMBIANCE AND ALL STAFF VERY FRIENDLY. THE PUB HAVE A VERY WELL FURNISH LARGE DISSABLED FACILITIES, I HAVE A STOMA BAG AND IT WAS VERY HELPFUL TO SEE A FLOOR STANDING MIRROR TO HELP WITH PREPARING FOR A CHANGE. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE BLACK BOY YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. MANY THANKS FOR A WONDERFUL DAY, SEE YOU SOON.
