Visited this store on 6/9/24 at 10:35 am. As I was about to leave my car, a gentleman (white) dressed in army fatigue entered the store with a huge Cane Corso (dog) it was not a service dog. It had no vest of any kind. Spoke to a young girl named Lisa claiming to be the manager defending the action. She eventually put the manager on the manager who claimed their was nothing he could do! Dogs, service or not should not be allowed in grocery stores or any establishment where food is sold!!!! Health department use to be diligent about these type of violations!!!
There was a “larger” lady with an afro tonight that was obviously having a very bad day, but let it out on all of us customers. We came in 40 minutes before closing tonight, and at 30 minutes before closing, someone talked over the intercom telling everybody that they’re closing soon, and this message was repeated every 5 minutes after. Around 15/20 minutes before closing, that lady started walking around the warehouse and yelling at people to go to the front and stop shopping. Around this time, one of the customers was just getting some milk, and she yelled at them, saying they were going the wrong way and needed to go up front to check out. I’ve NEVER seen this type of behavior from a store before, and it’s completely unacceptable. If you guys are closing in 15 minutes, how is taking one minute to grab milk changing anything? I wouldn’t recommend coming here, as the workers obviously hate their jobs and are very rude to customers.
As a member and frequent shopper of many BJs clubs, today I had a very bad experience that I wouldn’t wish on anyone at the BJ’s In Columbia, MD
I needed a cake for a very special occasion so I called to inquire about a specific cake. The associate answered the phone in the bakery department and I proceeded to ask about the cake. She was very short tempered and proceeded to cut me off in mid sentence.
I asked her if the cake had butter cream icing. She then became very loud and unglued. “ I SAID THE CAKE IS BUTTERCREAM ICING!” Then proceeded to say have a good day ma'am and she hung up the phone. I immediately called to speak with a manager. The supervisor on duty was Serrah (I could be spelling it wrong) she was very pleasant, apologetic and told me to see her when I arrived.
When I arrived I went to the bakery department and their were 3 ladies working, I could tell leadership addressed the situation prior to my arrival because the associate who yelled at me refused to help me or come to the counter serval time even after her colleagues told her I wanted writing on the cake. She looked at me and rolled her eyes and walked away. The other 2 associates were very kind and assisted me.
This experience was by far the worst I’ve ever experienced in any BJ’s location. It needs to be escalated because no customer spending their hard earned money to keep BJ’s in business should have to be disrespected by an associate. I am so appalled.
I never write bad reviews but the customer service here is HORRIBLE, especially from this one lady who works there. Never met someone so rude with so much attitude. Although it wasn’t directed to me, I overheard her saying to a customer that they were “walking the wrong direction” because the checkout line is on the other side, mind you, 15 minutes before closing. I understand workers want to get home after a long day, but this lady continuously harassed customers starting from 30/40 ish minutes before closing telling them to get to the check out line. As long as it is before 8pm, the store is still open and customers should be able to grab what they need before heading over to pay.
In addition, while we were checking out, the tone the lady talked to us in was so ignorant. My parent took a second (literally 5 seconds) to locate her BJs card because of her bad vision and this lady had the audacity to roll her eyes?? And when my parent finally found her card, before she even had a chance to think, the lady snapped and demanded that she gives her card NOW. Her behavior is disappointing, and this is coming from someone who also works in customer service.
I usually shop at Costco but decided to give BJs a chance today - never again lol (at least not this location).
My experience was great I took my family out for dinner every think was nice our server was also amazing thanks for the experience
Worst customer service..power tripping. I forgot my card and they wouldn't give me a temporary card to shop to.grab like 5 items.
I was shopping at 9pm at the Snowden River pkwy. Bjs (60). As always I get my groceries check by passing my receipt to the doorman. The doorman took my receipt and give me a unwelcoming look. It proceeded to count out loud and touch every item in my cart. He told me that I missed an item. So I replied "which item". He started recounting and touching my items again. He pushed down on my empty reusable shopping bags and ask me " What's in here". I told him there were reusable shopping bags. I felt embarrassed, disrespected and mad. He pointed behind me and told me I need to take it to a cashier not him. I asked him what item was missing from my receipt. His response was "That ain't my job. You choose Self-Checkout so go back to the register ". Once I arrived at the register a cashier named Ellyce reviewed the cart and receipt then guided me to her register where she scanned my bag of shrimp. She was amazingly kind as well as professional. The manager was informed and walked me to the exit so I wouldn't have to deal with the door man James Kite.
Horrible customer service both in store and online, save your money and go where you’re wanted. Do not sign up for a membership, not worth it.
