One of the great spots for working on a laptop, reading a book, or meeting friends. The employees are kind & cooperative. They host fun weekly events. The items I tried from the menus were delicious & well made. Lots of natural light during the day, which makes it very relaxing. Just love it & will definitely come back.
Hate to write bad review but felt compelled to warn other people. Large live cockroach in the bathroom. lox bagel was stinky and threw it away and breakfast burrito was not the right price. Also had to fend off a dozen small birds that were attacking our table while we ate outside. Coffee was good. 12% auto gratuity sign conveniently located beyond the payment screen. The place looked really cool and probably was at one time or is if you just get coffee. Had a bad enough experience write this review.
Walking around the neighborhood and we stumbled across Big Bear Cafe. We knew it was a good choice because they were full and there was a line to order. And it was nice because it was Sunday and there was a little farmers market right outside.
DELICIOUS. Super yummy Lavender latte and exquisite breakfast sandwich on homemade English muffin. Highly recommend this cozy place! Super friendly neighborhood feel!
I’m obsessed with this place. I’ve been coming at least 3 times a week since I moved to the area. Their vanilla lattes are my favorite I’ve found in dc, the atmosphere is perfect for wfh or a calm cozy vibe. The staff are incredible and the food is nothing short of fantastic. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!
Probably my favorite cafe in DC. You can hang out upstairs or outside (when weather permits) and work on a laptop, a good conversation, or take a call. It’s super spacious, high ceilings, rustic interior. Awesome thinking space to workshop ideas or read a book too. The pastries are all fresh and high quality. I wish big bear opened in Glover Park near me!
Cute cafe with tasty food
It was all fun and conversations plus the perfect staffing
