The atmosphere is not good dirty carpet. The dinners are $40 minimum for a bowl of rice and not a lot of meat. The soup and salad were the worst and by the time we got our meat the rice was cold.
Great job by staff to celebrate my granddaughter's birthday. The singing. Random things. Ginger sauce could be a tad more ginger..y. But I guess it's made to cater to all palates. A very positive happy experience. Thank you ALL you hardworking staff. "ARIGATO!"
Food and environment great! Go every year in my birthday for years
First time for lunch and chef forgot sesame seeds in mixed vegetables. There wasn’t a show by chef. Second time for lunch and the chef displayed a talented show. The portions were truly small and one dish had burnt bottoms on tiny scallops which the chef flipped over to hide. The mixed vegetables were over cooked with many burnt zucchini and onion slices. The service was very good and attentive.
We had a tough night here last night. Our chef, Allejandro, was spectacular... BUT... The server was subpar. Our table was seated at about 5:20pm. It took 30 min to get our drinks back from the inital sitting. Others at the table took to going to the bar to get a drink because of the service time. This continued into the next step for taking our order, followed by soup delivery and salad delivery. He often forgot drink order items and rarely visited the table to check on drink refills. After the chef cleaned and excused himself, and having finished our food, sat unattended to for over 20 minutes WAITING for the next course (Tea and Ice Cream and the obligitory birthday song) only to have him panic and bring us our check. Meanwhile - the check he brought was wrong and had excess charges on it. The server had to retreat to solve the issue and that took yet ANOTHER 20 minutes. It's almost embarassing watching other tables complete and leave that were seated well after us while we continued to wait. During this whole experience, the server referenced that he was new and just started with waiting last week. Over and over... this was the excuse provided. The server needs more training and a shadow to teach him ... to train him. This reflects poorly, and frankly we didnt have a birthday celebration, receive the whole meal we paid for, and left disappointed. Today I tried to follow up with this issue by calling the restaurant location... sadly I kept getting sent back to the automated menu and no matter how many times I selected "0" to speak with a team member... it was never answered. What gives?
My reservations were for 8:30p and did not eat until 10:30p. My food was overcooked and lacked flavor. I was never brought any water instead a Pepsi that I did not order. When I received the bill the Pepsi was on the bill even though I did not order the Pepsi and it was still sitting there. This was not a great experience and I will not be returning. There were other things that went wrong besides just these few things.
We took our son there for the first time for his birthday a few weeks ago. Everything was wonderful and we had a great experience. Our Chef Tony was amazing! Very friendly, funny, and accommodating of dietary restrictions. The MOD, Sally, was also very sweet and friendly. Will definitely return.
The food was excellent and our chef Yin was so good and fun to watch. I hadn't been to a Benihana in a long time but I enjoyed it so much I will be going back. Another visit and everything was terrific again. I had hibachi shrimp and vegetable fried rice which was fabulous!! Salad was delicious with a very unusual but incredible dressing. Loved it.
Not just any Japanese (Asian type) restaurant..plan on being entertained while watching an experienced Chef perform culinary antics to delight and amaze! Great for birthdays and a treat for kids and oldsters, alike. Custom made dinners before your eyes and even with food allergies like mine, the utmost care was taken to accommodate my needs. Not sure why anyone needs an occasion to visit, since it's a fun dinner anytime!
