Banh Mi Ngon

Update 4/2024: have been here many times since my first review. Finally tried the pho, it was absolutely delicious. The broth was flavorful and reminded me of pho I’ve had in Philly. Will definitely be trying the other noodle dishes on their menu. ————————————— The best banh mi I’ve had outside of Philly, hands down. Better than many viet restaurants around the area since they actually put pate in the sandwich and it was a good portion of meat. They also had a large variety of different options for the banh mi- which I found nice. Most places I’ve been to only give you about 4-5 options. They’re also reasonably priced (for NJ). The homemade soymilk was also good, but the best was the fresh durian and sugar cane drinks. The spring rolls were just OK, pricey since they’re small (1 for $2) and they’re more wrapper than the actual filling. Definitely a new go to spot for sandwiches, will try another type next time.

NEVER again. I wanted to give this establishment a chance after hearing such good things about it. In the mood for a banh mi, I stopped in. I ordered 2 sandwiches and a Vietnamese coffee. The counter worker prepared my coffee and shortly thereafter I heard him blowing his nose… and into the service sink right behind the register! He then takes the smoothie blender and places it in the SAME sink. What!!!!! Never washed his hands. No napkins. Never cleaned his mess. I waited for the sandwiches knowing that I was throwing the coffee away. He stands and bends back over the sink, holds one nostril and unloads everything from his nose. A young lady was present washing the blender when I asked why he would do that in a food prep area! He said ‘the weather is bad’ and went in the back. Well. NO THANK YOU. The food was trash. All of it. I didn’t even ask for a refund. How awful. It’s bad enough that you don’t really know what’s happening behind the scenes anyway - but to see all of your mucous, phlegm, and nasal congestion being shot into a sink where you are making people’s meals is another. Never again. Very disappointing.

Authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

I stumbled upon this place . It was awesome . The sandwich was so fresh and the best coffee I had all year …. This is a must trust !! I can’t wait to go back !

They are a take out spot with a few tables for a group of 3 or smaller Quality and variety of food is incredible and authentic! Will come back to try their soups, I only got banh mi this time around and they were so fresh and savory. Was so good I almost forgot to take a photo haha Their fruit smoothies taste like they put ice cream in there which makes them really sweet, a plus for some. It was tasty but bit sweet for me, next time I'll try the durian
