These are not the traditional boiled, crusty bagels. The owner tells me they use a steam injection oven. This results in a softer bite ideal for sandwiches. Another beneficial quality is the near lack of a hole through which the filling always squeezes out. I got the Bagel Guy (breakfast sandwich) with meat. At $10 it's a bit steep but only 70¢ more than the egg-and-cheese-only version. You have your choice of cheese, meat, and bagel, plus how you prefer the eggs. These are cooked-to-order eggs, not pre-made square, folded patties that get microwaved. I chose scrambled, with American cheese and sausage patty on a jalapeño bagel. Pretty satisfying. The bagel has good flavor and chew. The scramble was nicely seasoned with salt and pepper. I always take home my favorite, an onion bagel, as-is, from any shop to toast for myself later. Some places don't put enough chopped onion on top. Theirs has plenty, imparting flavor throughout. Overall, a good local place for an early bite if the need for a traditional bagel doesn't compel you
There's a ton of love that goes into their creations and you can taste it.
Food is delicious, fresh, natural, cooked to order. Not much seating or atmosphere. No espresso drinks. Grab your delicious bagel and eat it at the nextdoor Starbucks. :)
the man at the register (also the owner?) is so warm and friendly. great bagel sandwiches, great service.
Great spot to get a good bagel
A very good way to start weekend morning right with delicious, freshly made from scratch bagels. I enjoyed their everything bagel a lot especially their seasonings taste so good the aroma still lingers in your mouth after you finished it (that is if you like garlic-y taste). Freshly scrambled eggs, applewood smoked sausage and melted cheese. This have to be one of the best bagel place in town.
