Best scones in Sussex! Rather busy place, cause it is small and very cozy and best in town. So be prepared to either wait or take out. I’ve enjoyed the latter option.

Was treated by my daughter to afternoon tea. Smoked salmon sandwich was very light on the salmon, ham with pickle was nice and other sandwich was cucumber and cream cheese . Scones very nice . Thought it was very over priced, have had better and with glass of Prosecco included.

Olde worlde tea rooms ,very busy I had cheese on toast, and tea, the tea was made in a silver teapot, which was a gift to a lady in 1911! Fabulous place for lunch

This teahouse is a gem! And so are the employees. We've stumbled upon it a few years back and had loved the atmosphere and quality of the products offered. We were very happy to see that time has not changed that! As we live abroad, we are unable to come often but managed to do so again yesterday before going home. We came wanting to try their afternoon tea again, had a scare when we came in as we were apparently 10 minutes after cut off but the staff still accommodated us, which we are so grateful for. Thanks again ! The sandwiches, and other sugary delights were of the best quality we've ever been fortunate to try. Made fresh to order on top of it. Their tea is also of great quality. And the added possibility of buying their teas, jams and other goodies from them is just lovely. We will definitely be back at some point and won't hesitate to recommend this teahouse to anyone who's looking for an amazing experience. Thank you !

Stopped off and had the best hot chocolate and pancetta and chilli jam sandwich. Great service and friendly staff . Really nicely done tea rooms will definitely be back .

What a little gem in a small village! We had an amazing experience at this tea room. It was very cold outside and we were looking for a place to have a hot drink when we spotted the Badgers. It’s a small tea room in an old house but very well looked after, its cozy and feels like we are in another time. I absolutely loved the experience from having a very good quality tea to the delicious food, not forgetting the very good service. I wish I live nearer, I would be a regular costumer!

Lots of attention to detail creating a really nice overall ambience. Cute, quaint and modern without being kitsch. Stylish! Check their website for opening days and times as these change throughout the year. This is the first time we've made it in for tea after nearly 2 years of turning up mid cycle ride when it was closed! Highly recommended Vegetarian options: Vegetarian sausage roll available

Quaint, lovely tea room. Had mince (pie) sponge, amazing! Staff wonderful, as they usually are in these types of owner-run establishments, well done them - so happy to spend in there rather than any number of popular chains, where the produce is good but all else is so-so.

Badgers used to do the best afternoon tea! Extremely poor tea today. Terrible sandwiches, dubious fillings,& dry bread. Cakes okay. Vegetarian options: Terrible vegetarian sandwiches!
