Service was good but good very bland
Went for lunch and had a wonderful experience. Spicy chicken sandwich and Kale salad were delicious. Server Hayden was kind and attentive. Gave great recommendations and service.
While this place is nice, the food is mediocre. My pasta came out all clumped together tossed in the sauce. The flavor was not desirable and I didn’t finish my food. I will say the lemon ricotta was great. The waitress did make it a point to come over and say she only make $2.50 an hour and that she relies on tip. I would say pick another place to eat. Avenues proper either pay your staff more or teach them some manners. Tip is dependent on how much the customer wants to leave not what your waitress is wanting them to leave.
Nice trendy place with great food. Rare to find fish and chips made with salmon!
I ended up getting sick with food poisoning from this location last week. I eat meat once (or less) per week so there’s little doubt that I got sick here. Ultimately the reason I’m writing a review is because I called the restaurant twice to talk to a manager and didn’t get a call back from anyone. I love Craft by Proper, I love Proper Burger and Proper Brewery is my favorite brewery in SLC. I know how hard it is to recover from low star reviews.
dine on new and classic american dishes and drink house-brewed craft beer at avenues proper in the historic avenues district. don't miss the spicy chicken sandwich! the family-friendly restaurant atmosphere is cool and inviting, and the 21+ bar is intimate with a great vibe. reservations recommended but not required for friday/saturday nights and sunday brunch. avenues proper is a wonderful place to enjoy a meal and a drink in slc.
This is a quiet little place in the avenues. The food is really good. We had an issue with how our burger was cooked, the waitress was terrific and had it corrected. Overall good experience.
Horrible service. Our waitress spilled our drinks twice as she was handing them to us and it got all over my friends plate and food. She didn’t even apologize or acknowledge that she did that. What was worse was we couldn’t even choose the tip amount because it’s automatic gratuity.
