Aunt Butchies Desserts started in 1992 in a small room over a Staten Island, New York restaurant. The dream was to take family dessert recipes and share them with neighborhood restaurants, but little did they know the success they would achieve. To satisfy the overwhelming demand, they moved to their 13th Avenue location in the Dyker Heights section of Brooklyn, New York. There, a state-of-the-art baking facility was established, but still while keeping the family touch. Irene Santo (a.k.a. Aunt Butchie) and her son Frank, in spite of their success, insist on overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day-operation, ensuring only the finest ingredients are used, and highest standards are met with every dessert sold.
