Arod's Tex Mex - Cottage Grove Rd

I went in since I noticed it is a fairly new place that is not far from my home, so I figured it was worth trying. I ordered a chicken burrito for about $14 and the burrito was huge and tasted great. The only down side was the facility felt like it was just thrown together. It wasn't dirty or anything, just the coolers had boxes in them with random stuff and the counter area had a lot of clutter that wasn't decor. This is most likely "new facility growing pains". In short, the food was great but the facility could be improved a bit.

Food here is excellent. Had the Birria Brisket tacos and chicken enchiladas and they were packed! Best beef brisket tacos period, beats the other locals by a mile. Definitely worth trying if you like authentic tex mex! Also the owner is a genuine and very friendly guy, don't find many restaurants owners as passionate as him!

After a really bad day, my mom and I came in here and our whole day brightened up. The owner is very warm, welcoming, and friendly and lifted our spirits. Quality is clearly a huge priority to him. The food is the best Mexican we’ve had in Madison with many unique flavors. I absolutely recommend stopping in. They also have dinner plates to take home to your family. We will absolutely be back. This place is over on Cottage Grove Rd in Madison, WI. I got the Birria brisket grilled burrito with everything + cheese sauce. It was incredible! It was so well seasoned. The delightful smokiness of the brisket added a unique twist to the traditional burrito. The generous portions of veggies and condiments made each bite an explosion of flavor. Kudos to the staff at Arod's for delivering friendly, and prompt service, such a satisfying experience!

My friends and I are visiting the area from Central Illinois and LOVED the food here. Better than the taco joints we're used to at home. The good tastes so good and the owner is a cool dude.

If you haven't had Birria Tacos, this is the place to try them! Delicious, authentic Tex-Mex. While we were dining in ARod made the time to talk to us about his food and you could tell how passionate he was about it. He made us feel very welcome and the food was phenomenal. Highly recommend!

I ordered the big Vato sandwich and a kids taco with rice. The taco actually had a great portion of meat on it (more than other places) and the sandwich was fantastic. The food arrived earlier than they estimated and the driver was very nice. I'll for sure be ordering again!
