Very spacious and relaxing complex. Mild entertainment & a cafe bar. Good for large groups. ITV & Student bar.
I think I’ve just found my go to Coffee Shop and Brunch stop in Leeds. I’m a self proclaimed coffee snob (and proud) and Archive did not disappoint whatsoever. Lovely flat white with a swan latte art - smooth and flavoursome coffee without any sourness or bitterness. These guys clearly care and love their coffee, and it shows. Delicious full English with high quality ingredients. I’ll definitely be heading back here.
I had my 30th birthday here and it was the best choice we could have made! The events manager Amy was so helpful from booking to finish & all staff on the day went above and beyond to make it a great event. We were able to stay until 1:30am which is far better than most venues & even managed to request impromptu karaoke that was projected onto the big screen. I highly recommend Archive for any events booking!
I recently was bought a croissant from here, and it was truly the best I've ever tasted. So when it came to booking Mothers Day brunch I was really excited and had high hopes. But TBH it was a bit of a let down. Coffees came after a fair wait and were luke warm - coffee itself tasted fab though. I even got 2 more and asked for them super hot as our daughter had us up and down at the kids corner. They came after another long wait (daughter and husbands food arrived and both looked fab) but shame they didn't arrive with food. When my food arrived it was the wrong eggs benedict. Another member of staff came over soon after to check what I had ordered as they couldn't find my ticket (is this what's sent to the kitchen?) They apologised and said it'd be 10mins. Over 15mins later (the rest of the family had eaten by now) it turned up, incredibly plain and luke warm and then I had to ask for cutlery. Perhaps just caught them on a bad day? Was just really looking forward to a nice morning but it felt a bit of a let down. Really want to go back and try another dish as the menu makes everything sound delicious! Kid-friendliness: Huge space for kids to run about if they wanted and there was a little kids corner that had some interactive puppets, cushions and light boxes which our daughter loved
Ordered a latte and bacon breakfast bun, charged £7.90 only to see only to see a sign on the back of the toilet door offering a breakfast deal £5.50 (from memory). I later politely tried to clarify why I was charged more and was told I should have specified I wanted the breakfast deal on order... and I should ask when ordering next time. This makes no sense, how do you ask for the deal if you don't know about it? Secondly when I suggested the sign could be near where people order all I got was a muttering under his breathe. This could have been easily sorted out and a bad review avoided with some understanding and good customer service.
The staff at the Archive were great, the event space was the perfect place for our companies christmas party. The food was great, and staff were incredibly helpful as usual. Wheelchair accessibility: Worked perfect for our clients who required accessible facilities.
What can I say, you have to be there to experience it... Kid-friendliness: Definitely very comfortable and peaceful atmosphere inside and outside. Wheelchair accessibility: Flat terrain no stairs
Great coffee and atmosphere. A good place for a meeting if you are in the area.
