There was a little bit of a wait, but hey what do you expect on a Friday night. The service and the food made up for it. Calamari was delicious except for the sauce that came with it, it tasted like ketchup, quick fix when my server brought me cocktail sauce. The shrimp and Lobster bisque was amazing huge chunks of actual shrimp and lobster with delicious flavor!!!! The lake superior whitefish was sooo good!!! Our server Kellie made my birthday night very special!!! If you vist traverse city definitely make this a stop a little pricey but well worth it!!!
One of the best meals I've had in years. I started with the whitefish dip appetizer and it was incredible. For my main course I had prime rib with risotto and it was so good. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Traverse City. It's one of my top 5 restaurants in the entire state of Michigan. Fish and seafood are flown in fresh daily and the cuts of beef are of the highest quality with perfect marbling.
Wow! We had an amazing dinner experience on 1/21/24. Our server, Levi, was professional, friendly and accommodating to every need. We enjoyed the BBQ shrimp app, steak and the halibut for our meals. Such an awesome atmosphere! We definitely recommend and will be back!
Pricey, but nice for a special luncheon.
My wife and I visited twice about a week apart . She had the boursin filets which was a spectacular entree.. the Two experiences were very different.. once everything was great the second time the sides and sauce were just OK.. we have been getting this same meal for about 7 years.. the consistency was great until the last 2 years.. the recipe changed.. the portions were cut into I would guess about 2/3 the size of the original twin boursin filets.. and in the last 18 months the price has risen about 20$ ... so to be clear.. portion sizes cut 1/3 and prices raised about 40% .. it's about 48% more expensive than 5 years ago and 1/3 smaller.. to add insult.. there's a 3% fee added across the board to each check.. in the website this is blamed on inflation and prominently includes labor costs.. but of course.. because they pay their servers a high wage and they don't split the gratuity with hostesses etc? Last summer I saw them cut off reservations 4 hrs before close..I believe demand and profits are the real reason for the massive price increases and portion cutting.. which, OK.. but the quality and taste has also taken a nose dive.. all i can say is better keep those drinks nice and strong. We as locals loved this place but we no longer love it. We can take price increases but they seemed to have increased exponentially more percentage wise than all the surrounding establishments.. better hope longhorn steakhouse never makes it into the area.. their prices have risen about 15% with the same portion sizes as before and no 3% fee.. quality and taste always rock solid. This is just an opinion from an ex loyal local of apache. Parking: Parking is a mess
Beautiful location, excellent food!
The food here was great. I got the Halibut with mushroom Risotto. It was delicious. The drinks were well made too. I got a Gin and Tonic and loved it. The Bruschetta appetizer was great too!
Very disappointed. Had not been there for a few years and we all felt the same.
