In August 2004, Camille Bsaibes from Zahle region in Lebanon known for having the best meza, or small plates of food, opened Hillcrest restaurant. Camille revamped the restaurant with Middle Eastern décor and hired his parents-in-law-as chefs de cuisine. His wife Eva an excellent home-cook, whom comes from the same area in Lebanon, joined the team .The whole family introduced the most authentic Lebanese food to San Diego.
