Nice place to sit and enjoy one of the many beers brewed on site
We just had drinks here which were bridgehouse beers that were in tip top condition!
Well, what a change since last time we visited.. Not for the better, unfortunately. The food was ok, not the best I've had. The sticky toffee pudding was terrible, tastless, the toffee sauce was like water, and you could tell it had just been reheated in the good old microwave! It was that bad I left it, and that's a 1st for me where puddings are concerned!. The lovely lady who came to clear up noticed that the pudding was left and asked if all was OK, to which I explained what was wrong with it, and to my surprise, she agreed with everything I said, even the bit about it been reheated in the microwave. I'm sorry, but would you pay nearly £7 for a pudding like that?. Also, what was the chef thinking that sending a pudding out like that was acceptable?. The lady in charge took the pudding off the bill, which was very kind of her. Now, would I go again? No. There are better places to eat for the price, their charging, and much better food, too. Sorry if this upsets anyone, but it's my honest opinion.
I brought my family for a meal tonight to the Airedale Heifer for my son’s 15th Birthday and was served the worst roast dinner that I have had in a long time. The turkey was dry, the Yorkshire puddings were burnt and the veg and mash was minimal. I asked for more veg and the waitress told me I had to buy an extra portion. I was asked by one of the other staff how the meal was and I mentioned my disappointment of which she said that she’d speak to her manager and see if ‘she could do something with the bill’. To my disgust when it was time to pay they insisted that we pay full price. Absolutely shocking service Airedale Heiffer
Great food , great service
Nice pub, drinks overpriced (wine) think it depends on what food you have, mine was Ok, ( fish and chips) but everyone else enjoyed what they had. Lovely friendly staff though.
My partner and inlaws had recommended I go here, and I can't thank them enough. The brisket was gorgeous, the Yorkshire pudding was fluffy and crunchy, and the gravy was to die for.
