82 Degrees Bar - Grill

This is quite the restaurant with a view, despite not being right on the beach. Yes, there is a condo between you and the sunset, but you can still see most of it, and the food is actually good. Most beach sunset places have horribly overpriced food, but this one stands out. We had the lobster bruschetta and Grouper BLT along with a margarita and draft beer. Lobster bruschetta was ok- the toast was overcooked and hard to eat, and not a lot of lobster flavor. The grouper BLT is the star of the show here - grouper was cooked perfectly, accompanied by thick slices of bacon, nice tomato and some lettuce. Highly recommend this dish. Margarita was flavorful and served with black salt on the rim, nice touch. Service was prompt and seating was beautiful.

Sat at the bar upstairs. Great view, great food. Have been here twice and have not been disappointed with the food yet. However, the service this time was very slow, my server never refilled my water (my only drink), and I had to ask twice for my check. Still highly recommend for the food, it was delicious. Had the St. Peters Burger with sweet potato fries.

Food and service were OK and bill brought before we'd even finished and requested it. Meant we felt rushed.

I’ve tried to eat here twice. The first time my spouse and I arrived at 7:30pm. There were more seats open than occupied. The hostess said she could not seat us because all the tables were reserved. I checked online and there were still open reservations. Two days later (Monday) I looked on Open Table and there were several reservations available. I made a reservation at 8pm for 8:30 pm. Within 5 minutes someone called to tell me they couldn’t take my reservation because the kitchen closes soon. I asked what time they stop seating people because this is the second time this has happened. She couldn’t give me an answer. The restaurant closes at 9:30pm, but I’m pretty sure they are working by 7pm to make sure it’s empty before close. They need to block their reservations online if they are going to turn people away. My guess though is that whoever owns this place doesn’t know they are doing a great job at running off business.

Stumbled upon this place and we are so happy that we did! Food was great, large craft cocktail list, live music, and across from the beach. The service was excellent, very attentive staff and the chef came to the table to hand deliver my steak (it was just slightly undercooked) but they went above and beyond to make it right. Hats off to the chef and whole team! Reservation only seating on the weekends, we just happen to walk up right as someone cancelled. We will definitely be back.

We went for Happy Hour! Great drinks, service and food. The Grouper BLT with side salad was delicious. Also had the St Pete Burger and that was good too! Give it a try; will not disappoint.

After reading all the 5 star reviews, I was expecting a terrific restaurant. For me, this definitely is not. We came for dinner on a Tuesday night. The view from our table was nice and our server Christina was excellent. However the fried calamari appetizer had super thick breading (the people next to us had the same comment) and tasted like frozen fish. We ordered grilled mahi mahi for dinner. There wasn't a single grill mark on it, and when we asked it it was grilled, the answer was yes, but on a flat top grill. It was extremely dried out and barely edible, and definitely did not taste grilled. It didn't look particularly appetizing when it was served. The menu is fairly limited with not a lot of fish dishes to choose from. There are many better places in the area for waterfront dining. We would not return here or recommend this restaurant.
