Our table at Cafe Royal was cancelled due to flooding so we went next door to the Guilford Arms which is a great little pub away from the chaos of Princess Street. Sadly they could not provide food so we went around the corner to Tattu ... result!
Called for a drink on a Saturday evening pub was busy and friendly with a good selection of beer.
Worth a visit. Good selection of real ales
I never had any food . However, to my absolute delight, they do two gluten-free beers on draught . I've never seen it before . Forgot what they were called . One was a beer, and the other looked like a pint of Guinness. Which both were exceptional on taste.
One of the better pub experiences in town. And very likely one of the most beautiful. A sight to behold as you walk through the rotating door. Big bar with an impressive array of cask ales. Downstairs was rocking on a Friday which was also Good Friday. Upstairs was where to sit down to enjoy some good while also providing a great view down on the busy bar area. Ordered the haggis, neeps, and tatties and it was truly delicious, even without the whiskey sauce. Everyone was pleasant and the staff were great. Places like this are why pub culture must be kept alive!
Excellent pub. Great range of cask ales.
