I Love this place! I am an ex-pat Brit who misses the prevalence of great teashops and cafes in England, but this one, here in Grandview Heights, serves the purpose very well! :-)
I ordered off of Cambridge Tea House's catering menu for a bridal shower I was hosting. The experience was wonderful. I got so many compliments on the tea sandwiches and scones, and the lavender lemonade was delicious. I ordered about 10 days in advance, and when I arrive the morning of the event, the food was all ready to go and packaged very neatly and conveniently. I will definitely be coming back for my next event (and for some afternoon tea)!
Be aware the kitchen closes early.. I stopped by on Sunday at 2:45pm and they were out of everything .. no scones no quiches and couldn’t make tea.. Why advertise 3pm closing if you can’t serve at 3pm??? Very disappointed
So cute! My daughter and I had a wonderful time. Food was delicious and the tea selection was more than I could have hoped for.
It's nice but the meal portions are a bit small and better make sure you have reservations or it will be a wasted trip.
The people are entertaining and the food is rich. Vegetarian options: My wife had the hummus sandwich. It was very moist, but it seemed good from the little bit that I tasted. My sandwich was like a grilled cheese and it was excellent, and crunchy on the outside. Wheelchair accessibility: No.
From coming here due to others thoughts that a sit-down tea house is a good idea, all I can say is the scones are decent, but make reservations at Mozart’s Cafe instead. The quiches and egg sandwich are tolerable, everything else not so much. The turkey and other meats are pre sliced from a package, the vegetables are all raw, the fruit isn’t even up to par to a side of fruit you get at a fast food place, and nothing is ever seasoned! Very poor quality food, service, and atmosphere, and you get about 1/3 of a portion size for your whole meal! Every single staff member is extremely rude and judgmental, it’s a shame. The table cloths are frayed and near falling apart with the cheapest texture ever and chairs are outdated, not in a vintage or like any prior era way, plain old cheap outdatedness. On top of it all, the kitchen couldn’t make anything with eggs in it once which is 95% of their breakfast menu and when coming during breakfast time, they didn’t compensate with a scone or a sorry or anything they simply said you’re getting lunch or a quiche! Truly a disappointment of a place.
Super cute brunch spot! The food was delicious too, pastries were fresh, service was pleasant.
