Disappointing Experience My recent visit to Hive Edinburgh left me deeply disappointed and disheartened. The experience was marred by the rude and racist behavior exhibited by the bouncers. It was disheartening to witness firsthand the discrimination against individuals of different ethnic backgrounds. As an Indian, I was denied entry solely based on my race, while I observed that white patrons were allowed in without any hesitation. This discriminatory behavior not only reflects poorly on the establishment but also creates an unsafe environment for patrons. A pub should be a place where everyone feels welcome and safe, regardless of their race or ethnicity. Unfortunately, Hive Edinburgh fails to uphold these basic principles of inclusivity and respect. I urge the management of Hive Edinburgh to address this issue seriously and implement measures to ensure that such discrimination does not occur in the future. Until then, I cannot recommend this pub to others.

The bouncers are very racist and was only letting whites enter the bar. They even tried to push us without being provoked. Me and my friends were totally sober when this happened and felt very uncomfortable. Wouldnt recommend. Stay away at all cost.

The bouncers at the entrance were very racist towards us. They were letting in whites enter and no body of color enter the bar. They literally let everyone behind us enter the bar and even tried to push us away without being provoked. Mind you, we were sober and were only in the city for a night. This kind of pubs should be shut down and police should take serious action against such behavior and shut it down. Won’t recommend. It’s no wonder it is one of the worst rated pubs in the city. Stay away.

Best value for money nightclub in Scotland

This place is horrible. I was in The queue and some guy made a sexiest comment to me and I defended myself and the bouncer declined my entry. I am very upset at the The red haired bouncer. I am not sure even intoxicated

Been in Edinburgh for a year and been to many pubs and was even a bartender in one of the reputed bars in Edinburgh. But the behaviour of the bouncers especially the asian (i believe indian with glasses on and the white)(to be easy ginger) was so mean to my colleage who as supposed to be an african was denied entry because apparantly what they said was that they had issues like people like him and myself and 2 of my white friends can go in . When i got their entry stamp and while entering told them that dont be a racist i was denied entry as I said the word thats not supposed to be said but can be done. It would have been understandable if we were denied entry as we were drunk but it was not the issue as we were sober to have a great night there but had a terrible experience. For a country who is fair its common for us to face racism and what we are said to just live with that or face the conseqenses if we stand against it. So my point to the hive authorities is that please make sure that atleast the securities you hire has a minimum qualification or be a part of the society that thinks racism is fine. I would like to point out the indian or the asian one with glasses on who was such a racist and the other one who i dont want to say who worked in 12 march. I know this review wont have much impact in anyone but its from a common person who have to face this everyday. We went to stramash were we were all welcome and the bouncers were so welcoming and nice by even doing their job by asking for our ID's Posting my stamp from hive even if i was denied an entry
