Lovely place and we had the yoghurt chat bombs they were yummy. Plenty of options on the menu. Staff are really pleasant. Dietary restrictions: They do vegetarian, vegan and gluten free.
Really Underwhelming Food. The lamb was good, but that's about it. Chaat bombs were boring. The childrens meals were particularly disappointing. Gristly and chewy gunpowder chicken, and the taste of cardamomand & cinnamon in the childs chicken curry meal was overpowering. The service was even worst, slow, forgetful and we waited ages for basics like menus and taking of orders. Suprising as it was not that busy.
While Mowgli Birmingham boasted a great ambiance and good food quality, the disappointing service overshadowed any positives. The staff appeared disinterested, leading to a lackluster dining experience. Additionally, locating the restaurant proved to be a challenge compared to other branches, adding to the overall disappointment. Despite its potential, Mowgli Birmingham fell short of expectations.
This is my 2nd visit here and I can't wait to go back. Situated in the food court of the station it stands out because of the beautiful decor, with thousands of fairy lights sparkling. Very nice seating arrangement, with some booths, the staff are always friendly and efficient. The food is fabulous, served in Tiffin tins, and beautiful silver square plates to eat from. I chose 3 dishes, chickpeas in Darjeeling tea, lentil Dahl, and potato with spinach and tomato. My companion had buttered chicken and flatbread. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended.
Excellent, brilliant, this was our second visit and we were not disappointed. We had both the butter chicken and the lamb curry with rice and roti. If you're near Birmingham New Street, visit!
For the lunch monday. Staff is so nice. The food was great.
Great atmosphere and the food was ok. Had read and heard great things but felt the food was a little flat and nothing to write home about. The menu feels a little overpriced for a tapas style menu. The cocktails were very nice. Not sure I would bother again but the venu itself is lovely if a little uncomfortable. Service was ok but had to fetch our own cutlery and napkns as the waitress we asked obviously forgot.
this is indian street food for non Asians. the starters were OK but main meals, the lamb curry and prawn curry were horrible, absolutely no flavour. the puri was shocking . they do warn you that portion sizes are small. The food was a let down. plus side service was friendly and I enjoyed my drink. I would not go there again.
First visit here today, definitely won't be the last, nice atmosphere friendly staff and beautiful tasting food. Planning my next visit already as there's so many other things I want to try. Had lamb chops and potatoes, the house lamb curry, rice and roti, between two people was very filling, and good prices.
