Excellently located for the tram and Gyle Centre this was a good practical hotel. The free tea/coffees in lobby were a good idea! Rooms clean and comfortable. Two slight complains..lack of pillows and our room was right next to elevator shaft so could hear the workings (thought it was a force 10 gale outside till we figured it out!) However these are minor niggles for an excellent couple days exploring Edinburgh.

We had booked this place for a night stay, but definitely regretted it, and strongly wished we had gone for Travelodge instead. Pros: 1. Economical. 2. A very polite and friendly staff 3. Good paid parking, and about 4 mins walk from tram station Cons: 1. The rooms were too small for our family of 3. We could scarcely keep our luggage or walk around. 2. The bathroom/toilet doors don't lock. Worse yet, it is so small that you'd keep hitting your elbow at the walls and the door will open 3. The bathroom doors are made of glass and nearly transparent.. enough said. 4. Very minimal options for dinner.. I think they had some frozen panini's and 2-3 pizza options. 5. Very basic breakfast options - toast, butter, jams, some cold cuts and cereals. 6. No coffee/tea in the room.

Good location in terms of having access to the trams a short walk away, it is also close to a large shopping centre. You have to pay for parking at the hotel which is £5 per day. The rooms lacked privacy. The shower is directly in the main room and the toilet is in a cupboard to the side. Overall quite dated room but it is affordable. The bed was also very comfortable. Tea and coffee is available in the communal area as well. Staff were very polite and friendly.

Rooms. Comfortable although cleaning standards need to be improved found the top bink steps side rails were dirty we had to clean then also bin dirty in room also the fact that there was a argument in the maom reception area between a family late at night was very diapaonted to see the reception person did nothing I had to ask them to stop as I wasn't on holiday to listen to that at 12 30 am in the morning while I was sat having a coffee with my older children on Wednesday hotel reception is not a place for arguments theyvwere still at it outside and on the same floor qe are on cupd hear it was very very siapaonted ruined part of our holiday

Strategically well placed, 10 minutes to the airport. 20 minutes to the castle, just by a tramway stop. Easy to get out and drive out of town or grab a public transport to Glasgow. Great value for money. Very good service. Okay breakfast and amenities.
