Purchased a bag of Peanut Butter Pillows at Cracker Barrel today, and they are so good. They taste like the "Golden Crumbles" candy that we sold for fundraising in school 50 years ago.

Hammond’s Candies was a great experience! We visited on a Tuesday afternoon and it couldn’t have been better. I was able to add on to the scheduled tour without any pre-booking and the tour was only four of us total! We were able to see everything easily, ask questions, and even received a free candy cane at the end. The store has plenty of items to explore, but some items can be costly. The employees were helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend checking out the “oops” candies on the other side of the store where you can find amazing deals.

What a cool candy factory! Small and in operation for over 100 years, Hammonds is a Denver treasure. Tours are free, though not extremely long. Watch a video to learn about the history of the company, then see candy pros (sorry no Oompa Loompas) do their magic. Tons of options to select from in the store. A fun visit for the kids or to pick up a fun and tasty gift

I visited here for the free tour they offer. The shop was cute & the tour was quick, but informative! Worth the trip if you have an hour to kill & are in the area. The tour took ~20 minutes, which commenced with a 10 minute video giving you an overview of the company's history. A full sized candy cane was included at the end of the FREE! tour, so that was a nice touch! The location of the factory is a little random, so you might feel you're in the wrong place. It's amongst other warehouse and has ample, complimentary parking provided onsite.

We decided to stop in on a Friday afternoon. Unfortunately, we were too late for the tour. But we were glad we stopped because they recommended we have advance reservations. So we scheduled time for the next day. We bought some treats that were reduced in price and then came back the next day for the tour. I’d say the tour runs 20-30 minutes, beginning with a 10-minute video. Since it was a Saturday, there weren’t as many people working, but we were still able to watch a number of workers making various candies. At the end of the tour, we received a free full-size candy cane. I don’t know if they give out the same flavor after every tour, but ours were cherry. So it’s a free tour with a free treat at the end! The tour ends back in the gift shop. We decided to buy more treats, particularly from the “oops” section in the one corner. We also found some discounted items in the hallway between the gift shop and where the tour starts. Of course, we couldn’t leave without buying some chocolate. So, yes, it’s a free tour, but be prepared to spend some money on additional candy. The staff were super friendly and remembered us when we came back the next day. I was impressed by their service. As for getting there, when we first went, I thought Google maps was taking us to the wrong place, but it was correct. The building sits off the road behind several other buildings, so just watch the directions on where to turn. At least one entrance had a sign, but it was small. There’s lots of free parking around the factory. Enjoy the factory, but be prepared to leave with a lighter wallet and maybe a larger waistline.

My daughter and I took a tour and we learned so much! The facility is clean (and smells amazingggg) and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We bought some goodies to take home with us. What a fun, unique, and free way to spend an hour!
