I was absolutely disgusted by the service we receieved at our afternoon tea. I made a note upon booking that we were visiting for a special birthday, when we arrived we were looked at by staff for 10 minutes before anybody even bothered to come over to seat us. There was no acknowledgment for the special occasion as I’d requested and we were completely ignored. The place had 0 atmosphere and there was not any music playing (for a Beatles themed restaurant you would think they would at least have music) It then took around 15 minutes before we were offered tea/coffee. It then took a while to bring over two cups of black tea and a cup of black coffee. We assumed the milk and sugar would follow as we were not asked but it was made clear they were going to leave us with black teas/coffee! My partner had to go over to where they were all standing around to ask for milk and sugar, and a teapot of tea for us all due to the service being absolutely shocking. When the afternoon tea eventually arrived it was not bad, just bogstandard nothing special but still we can’t fault the food. The service we receieved was worse than awful, we also witnessed the staff standing around doing nothing and the chef rang the bell numerous times and due to the fact people’s food was sitting there ready to be brought out, the chef ended up bringing it out himself! The chef then also asked us if we were enjoying the afternoon tea (again something the servers should have done) Matters were made worse (we didn’t think it could get any worse) when we were brought the bill over (after asking twice) and we receieved a HANDWRITTEN bill, no proper receipt as apparently the internet was down. We were charged more than what the prices stated online but at this point the experience completely ruined my nans 70th birthday afternoon tea and we were so fed up I just paid and left. I was disgusted by the service we receieved and I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone again.

Do not go here for afternoon tea! Nothing was good about the experience! Extortionately priced for onion tasting sandwiches, synthetic cream cakes and scones, oh yes, and no tea or coffee served! No other people in the restaurant, speaks volumes. Highly unrecommended! This place certainly did not "please please me" the poor waitress Abigail was the only person there and was being dragged to other bars "here, there and everywhere" she was the only positive thing about the whole visit! Vegetarian options: Awful!!! A Lettuce sandwich ,a coleslaw sandwich and a soggy cucumber sandwich all.tasting of onions!

Only two in restaurant which is like a canteen. Pub menu, not at all fine dining or even quirky. The bar ran out of the rosé I ordered, our food order was incorrect so we didn’t get charged for one main, they were laying for breakfast as we were eating dinner. Come on, fabulous location in a fabulous city. Get yourselves together. Dietary restrictions: Hardly any of the options above apply to the current menu. Think more Wetherspoon!

There was no clear indication as to how to get to the restaurant but we found it eventually. Mostly the staff were okay just a bit clueless and not very professional. One woman that served us was amazing and we connected well with her. There was someone that was higher up that seemed more professional but only appeared once to keep the staff in line, when she wasn't there they just stood around chatting. There was a table that had been eaten at and not cleared from when we got there to when we left. The atmosphere was completely lacking and it felt like a canteen in a work place. No steak knife with steak, side didn't turn up until asked for, no range of wines. Red or white was mentioned then only one white due to a wedding that day or day prior. I completely understand stock levels can be affected post wedding but it wasn't explained to us on arrival, given no drinks menu, no apologies for the lack of stock. Its just wasn't a great experience. Seems like a good hotel to stay at and a good place for a spot of brekki after your stay but as an evening restaurant with the competition around it need to up its game big time. Food was nice but maybe a touch pricey for what it was. £25 for an 8oz steak with shop bought frozen onion rings and ship bought slaw takes the biscuit a bit.

Ate here on a Sunday evening as part of a dinner, bed and breakfast package at the Hard Days Night Hotel. Expecting a great atmosphere in a Beatles themed restaurant, in Liverpool during Eurovision week, we could not have been more wrong. For the duration of our meal we were the only 2 people in the restaurant. No atmosphere at all, no Beatles music played, someone even popped in to turn the music down at one point. No memorabilia on the walls or anything, just a few pictures dotted about. Decor was fine but no different from hundreds of vanilla restaurants, they are really missing a trick here. The lack of a genuine Beatles experience was a real let down. The food was delicious, well presented and in decent sized portions. Service was generally good as you would expect but there was an awkwardness around the bill when our gift voucher wasn't taken into account and the waitress didn't know what to do, surely not a difficult thing to get right, especially when you only have 2 customers and reception had booked the table for us at check in. High expectations which were nowhere near met, there are many great restaurants I would return to in Liverpool, this is sadly not one of them.
