I can't think of a reason to return. The signature Giddy Up burger isn't very good. Mine arrived undercooked and underseasoned with a handful (20?) of pickled jalapeños, two thin slices of criss-cross bacon, and some kind of sauce that maybe had some heat, but definitely lacked flavor. The friend cauliflower was just batterer an fried. The breading was forgettable. The strawberry milkshake was just a milkshake. There are better burgers for the money in Ballard, and Giddy Up didn't do anything particularly well. The staff was there, but not overly pleasant. A 20% tip and I bussed my own table... As I started - I can't name a good reason to return. There's just nothing that someone else in Ballard doesn't do better (flavor, atmosphere, service) or at least cheaper.
I have to agree with the other reviews. I think the burgers coming with a side would be better. We got 3 big cheese, 3 12oz milkshakes, 3 kids meals, 1 large drink, 1 large fry, 3 regular fry’s. Almost $130. For what you get I don’t think it was worth the price. Won’t be returning.
Great place to get a tasty burger. I enjoy them all so far. Fries are very good. Beers are $8, we skipped them last time. Big venue, I haven't had trouble finding a table ever.
Nice burger with reasonable price. The sweet potato fries is pretty decent, and cocktail comes with large portion.
I've been eyeing their burgers, and I finally got to try them last weekend. I went for the OMG burger with sweet potato fries, and it was definitely flavorful but somewhat average. I think it might be the Gruyère cheese that did it, but the burger turned out to be a tad greasy for my liking. As for the portion, I personally felt it was small for the price (close to $30), but paying high price for an average meal seems to be the norm in Seattle these days.
The burgers were very juicy and tasty. We could not even finish them because the portions are really generous. Lots of space in there.
