As my friend had just had serious spinal surgery, I stayed at the hospital by her side for a week. The food was surprisingly delicious, for the most part. The selection was good, and the service, from a patient perspective anyhow, was absolutely excellent. Ordering was easy on the hospital tablet, and service was always in a very reasonable time. Ordering as a guest, from inside the cafeteria however, was a bit unorganized and unclear as to how and where to begin and to whom do I even place an order. Maybe I'm just new to the cafeteria scene and I could've tried harder to figure it out. Either or, good hospital food, beyond my expectations indeed.
When I was there it was Saint Patrick's Day and they had like corned beef and they had like the whole fixings for like a good Saint Patrick's Day meal. It was really quiet in the cafeteria and I think I really needed that as my mother was in surgery and was trying to find some kind of quiet.
Good food, courteous staff
It's pretty good for a hospital cafeteria. It beats going out trying to find something quick in the surrounding area . The price is quite reasonable also.
A good, quiet place to go for a quick meal. It's a little tricky to get in so you might have to ask someone, but it's easy to get to if you are already in the building. We went on a Saturday at around 10:30, so they only had the deli sandwiches station open, but it seemed like they usually have hot foods during normal lunch periods. They also have premade food in the fridge case, and other snacks. The sandwich was fresh and very good, and we ate it in the attached sunroom. It's a good choice if you live nearby or are visiting someone in the hospital and want a bright, quiet place for a simple meal.
I was here for appointments with my grandma when I had the East African Ground Nut Stew that was so delicious. I didn't know hospital food could be so good
